OMG. Betsy got an i-pad mini

If I’m not careful, I may enter 20th century technology before I’m ready! You all can enjoy the 21st century since you’re already there.

ARC Welding

Betsy just completed her intro to welding garden sculpture weekend. It was a hoot. And now that I am familiar with stick welding and with oxy-acetylene torch, beware! There were only four people in the class, so lots of (patient, kind, considerate, understanding) attention from the instructor. I believe Maurice is my new hero ’cause I actually made something.

We suited up, torched, welded, cut, ground, and had an all around good time. One picture is of my classmate, not me, ’cause it did not seem wise to try to take a picture of myself wielding a torch at the same time.

Made what I am calling a planter and also a coat hook/leash holder. I’m all ready now to buy my own arc welder. Some day soon I’ll be famous for my sculpture, I’m sure.

The boys at the park

One of our dog park friends took this picture for us. Fritz is probably off somewhere checking out a gopher hole, but this is a good picture of three of the four.

Poor Willie

Willie tries to get away from it all. Living with four dogs is not easy.

Uncle Ed’s obituary from Betsy

Some of the followers may not know that our Uncle Ed died earlier this month. He was a funny, generous, and very caring man and he will be greatly missed. Cape Cod just won’t be the same without him.
