The Sierra Mt. Quilters Association show was this past weekend. Betsy Anne had two entries. This one is a self portrait in fabric I called “Puppy Love”. The picture was taken just prior to completion. If you want to see (and admire, of course) the detail you will have to come see it hung on the craft house wall.

This one I call “Fourth of July”. It was a step forward in my learning more precise cutting, piecing, sewing and machine quilting. Which is not to say I won’t continue with the scrappy look many times!

The quilt in the works now is called a mystery quilt. We get a direction/clue each month at our association meeting, but we don’t know until the final clues how it is to be put together or what it will look like. It should be finished by the end of the year. The most difficult part so far was picking the fabrics without a vision for the overall effect. The direction was to get a dark, a light, and an accent. After completing the third clue, this is what I have.
