We went to UC Davis on Wednesday, May 9, for Kai’s second post-treatment checkup. They found him “bright, alert, and responsive”, with no sign of cancer spread.

He’s getting a bit gimpy from arthritis, though. We’ve gotten him a ramp to help him get up into the car. Happily stairs aren’t a problem yet.

Chester was incredibly good while I was having lunch in Davis. He snoozed beside the table the whole time. But then he’s usually good in Davis. Maybe he thinks he has to be, so that I won’t leave him at the hospital like Kai.
