I thought Kai had two more chemotherapy sessions, but at today’s session the doctor told us we were done for now. We’ll go back in three months for our next evaluation (unless something comes up between now and then).
I can’t say I’m sorry to stop driving to Davis on a regular basis, but it could be worse. Davis is a nice dog-friendly town. Chester and I have enjoyed walking the campus and the town, and visiting Davis’s dog park, while Kai gets his treatments. Today at the dog park we met Flint, a black mutt who (it turned out) belongs to the UC Davis veterinary school, where the students practice non-invasive procedures (like ultrasound) on him.
Davis can be ghastly hot in summer, but the fall and winter days have been beautiful. We walked all the way around the stadium today, which is planted with yellow roses, still in bloom.
We had a chance to meet some of the campus cows today, too. Chester wasn’t quite sure how he felt about them at first. Then he decided he really didn’t like them. I tied him up a few yards away in order to visit the calves and yearlings. They were all very friendly.

Good news for all. Yay!!!!!
