    For those of you not involved in the ongoing discussions, Dad was originally trying to get a bench put up at Fort Hill in Mom’s name. Apparently that land is owned by both the feds and the state, so the bureaucracy had some obstacles difficult to overcome. In the spring, we had a marvelous storm that took down a number of trees on and near the bike path in Orleans. Dad went through all the steps to get town approval for a tree in Mom’s name (we’re very proud of him!!). So there is a beautiful pine at Depot Square, between the Chocolate Sparrow and the picnic tables next to the bike path. It’s a fitting place, ’cause that’s where we spent a lot of time sipping cappucino and latte and then walking the puppies.
