Coco, Bianca, and Noriko were in the Bay Area this weekend (along with
their father Orlandus, who was attending a conference). They came to the
house on Sunday 2/19 for a short visit. On Monday 2/20 (a holiday for
me) I drove Kai into the city, picked them up at their hotel (the Hyatt
at the Embarcadero!), and took them to Arlin’s office. We all had a
picnic lunch in a park near his office, and then Arlin had to go back to
work. So we went to the Presidio and romped on the beach with Kai. He
had a fantastic time chasing tennis balls into the water, along with an
eight-month old black lab named Hakon.
